A delightful goldendoodle has captured the hearts of TikTok users with her polite and adorable visits to her neighboring dog pals. The video, shared by @thatgoldendoodle, has amassed over 783,000 views since it was posted on March 27.

The video is overlaid with a message that reads: “The neighbor kid keeps coming over + asking if my kids can play.” The footage shows the goldendoodle strolling down a residential sidewalk, turning onto a neighbor’s walkway, and tapping her feet in anticipation at the door. The caption shared with the post reads: “Those tippy taps + the way she stays on the sidewalk.”

The goldendoodle’s evident affection for her neighbor’s pets is not surprising. According to a March 2019 study, “dogs can form relationships of comparable qualities with both humans and other dogs;” “these relationships vary along multiple components across different partners.”

Stanley Coren, a professor emeritus in the department of psychology at the University of British Columbia in Canada and the author of several books about dogs, has something to say about this canine behavior. Coren stated: “dogs that have been properly socialized will congenially approach virtually anything that is alive, regardless of its species, and, unless they receive hostile signals, they will attempt to establish a good-natured relationship.”

Coren further added, “although dogs are happiest when they are in a social situation, the species that they are interacting with is less important than the quality of the interactions.”

TikTok users were smitten with the goldendoodle’s polite manner in the viral clip. Alicia Pitaa wrote: “Those are the cutest little pitter patters I have heard of course they can play,” while lupeshafer9294 posted: “omg [oh my god]! how stinkin cute!”

Other users suggested practical solutions for the dog’s frequent visits. Nail girl noted: “I would have already set up a doggy door,” and @paulachristinadep commented: “I hope you allow him to chill with his buddies.”
