  • When @daveyandpoppysplace’s dad passed away, he left behind two feral cats in his barn.
  • @daveyandpoppysplace decided to take in the cats, and take care of them until they accepted her as their new mom.
  • The cats now sleep on her bed and have learned how to love and receive love.

TikTok creator Katie R. @daveyandpoppysplace’s dad took in feral cats in his barn.  When he passed away last fall, Katie could not just let the cats go on living the way they were.  In her caption, she explained, “My dad didn’t think anyone would be able to touch them.”

Meet Bebe and Boo. After a year long journey, they’ve learned how to love and be loved. Every snuggle with them reminds me of my father. #rescuecat #feraltoforever #catsoftiktok #griefjourney #fyp #tearsofjoy @The Dodo ♬ The Best Part – anamē & gardenstate & Bien

Thus, she started her journey to make them trust her so she could take care of them better.

In December 2021, she began by making the kitties eat out of her hand. They tentatively go near her, eat and then hurry back to their safe place but not after she sneakily pets them.  By March 2022, the cats were going inside the house, sleeping on the bed and receiving gentle pats on the head.

And the viewers are in awe at the transformation. @flylikethebirds wrote:   “Can’t get over how bonded they are, the way they glance at each other in the second clip. I bet having each other helped them trust a little faster.”

The change in the cats is simply remarkable. @jaymeerhodes commented: “Them laying in the bed together… STOP IT MY HEART,” which @abovetheinfluence96 agreed with: “This is what I love. Cats are literally my best friends.”

Good job, @daveyandpoppysplace!
