Dog sisters Caipirinha and Luna have become the best of friends. So when the 14-year-old Luna’s eyesight started fading, Caipirinha made sure to guide her — and even be her heroine.

One day, Luna was surprisingly dripping wet as she walked back into their house. Her mom, Julieta Firpo, thought that Luna had taken a swim in their pool.

But she soon realized that their senior dog would not have done so. The once-adventurous dog’s poor eyesight has caused her to become disoriented in the past months.

So Julieta watched the security cam footage of their pool area. She found out that Luna was walking by the pool when she accidentally fell into the water! Thankfully, Caipirinha was there to help her.

The desperate Luna struggled to find her way out. But Caipirinha rushed to her and guided her to the shallow end of the pool where the ladder is. There, she pulled on Luna’s collar to safely get her out of the pool.

“We watched the video and couldn’t believe it,” Julieta told The Dodo.

Julieta decided to block off the pool area to make sure it won’t happen again.

Luna must have been so scared, but Caipirinha made sure her sister got back to safety.

Their family couldn’t be more relieved — and proud of their heroine!

Julieta shared, “Caipirinha was already the darling of the house. Now, she’s our hero.”
