Kid and Mom Finds Furry ‘Monster’ Under his Bed

  • When Jeni Koyle’s 4-year-old son heard a noise under his bed, he automatically thought it was a monster.
  • So Jeni checked it out, and found that it was their cat, Sis, stuck between the bed spring and the plastic cover!
  • The mother and son had a good laugh out of it, and Jeni managed to get Sis out safely.

Jeni Koyle was surprised when her 4-year-old son told her there was a monster under his bed. It was 11 a.m., after all, and the little one “didn’t seem too scared — more fascinated.”

“He was pretty matter-of-fact about it, like, ‘I’m hearing this noise, and this is the most logical conclusion as to the cause of the noise,’” Jeni shared.

When she went to her son’s room to solve the mystery, she found that there was indeed something under his bed. It turns out that the “monster” was actually their cat!

Sis was a tiny feral kitten living on the streets of rural Idaho when Jeni found her and rescued her.

“I could tell she had a special personality even then,” Jeni shared. “We bonded right away.”

Sis has since developed a strong bond with Jeni’s two young sons.

“They act like regular siblings,” Jeni shared. “Sometimes they irritate the ever-living hell out of each other, and sometimes they have the time of their lives playing. But no matter what, they’re always looking out for each other.”

For some reason, Sis ended up getting stuck between the bed’s box spring and plastic cover. It was her making all that noise — running around and trying to look for an escape.

When Jeni looked under the bed and spotted Sis, she just has to show it to her son as well.

They all had a pretty good laugh!

Luckily, Sis hadn’t eaten any plastic and Jeni managed to get her out safely. And Sis got a reprimand — she should be the one to protect her brother from the monster, after all, not be the monster herself.
