Stray dog saves friend from incoming traffic [Video]

Accidents happen, and sadly, the risk increases when we’re least aware. In road accidents involving animals, sometimes drivers are unaware of their presence, and the animals are also caught off guard. In one incident, a stray dog barely made it to safety thanks to his hero pal.

The close encounter was caught on video and shared on Reddit by user @Xclusivecrushr. It was posted on the subreddit “Animals Being Bros.”

In the clip, we can see two stray dogs making their way along a road. When they cross, we can see one stopping in the middle of the road. Suddenly, a vehicle speeds into his direction. Luckily, the other dog spotted the danger and quickly leapt into action to get them out of harm’s way.

That was cutting it close! The stray dog was saved, thanks to his pal’s quick thinking and attentiveness.

Both dogs barely made it out of danger and into the safety of the sidewalk.

Several Redditors praised the dog for his attentiveness and quick actions.

One Reddit user commented, “Dog showed perfect situational awareness, responded swiftly, probably faster than some humans would have responded.”

Perhaps the adrenaline rush would also cause humans to react just as quickly! We hope so, at least.
